You can also create a cover picture and arragange your profile to express your personality, but maybe exactly this raises a problem for many users, since they do not want to reveal that much about themselves. The privacy-setting will be nearly the same, and you can still hide pictures and the like from strangers. However, overall the main problem is the obligation to make use of the chronicle and that you can not switch back.The website Insidefacebook.com founds 16 fraudulent pages, on which you can found options to allegedly revoke the chronicle.

Resumed we can come to the conclusion that there are changes, which a great number refuses.

At the moment facebook is on of the most used and most popular social networks in the world. Probably it is as favoured since you can communicate with your friends or make friends with new persons and get to know them fast and easily. All in all the users get social contacs without leaving their house.

But there are lots of dangers and negative aspects about facebook, which we should keep clearly in mind. As soon as you post something or set up a new status-message you have to be sure of the fact, that even when you only admit your friends, the whole world could read those information about you. So your privacy is put in question and personal data is not save.

In the last weeks/months there was developed a knew concept of timeline.  This concept is discussed a lot and opened new questions. It spreads your life up into every detail and every picture, status-message and so on, which you upload on facebook anytime, will become available again. This is not only an economic questions, but about dignity and privacy. A human is bound to forget things of its life – this is the normal and right way. By facebook everything you have  ever done is rememberable. Critics think that it is not positive and conductive for humanity.

Summarised we can say, facebook has got one positve thing, but too many negative, so that everyone should think, before using this plattform.

media use in Germany

oh, you want to know something about media use in Germany? I can tell you something about internet using 🙂

I think an important thing is that about a quarter of all Germans don’t use internet at all, so there is no “mainstrem-surfer”. But the number of hours per day, in which the internet is used, increases, probably because of flatrates or moblie-internet. Many Germans, especially the youth, but also the 40-50years old, surf on websites like wikipedia or youtube, mostly in there freetime. But there are only less then 10 percent of the users, who actually have an account to correct the wikipedia-articles or upload youtube-videos. Same with blog-readers, which often blogon their one. In the last few years facebook captured the Germans, even the older ones. Most of them are younger than 20, sometimes younger than 30 years old and it is like normal to have an accoun. The new “facebook-lovers” are the 40years old or older people. So facebook displaces older plattforms like “SchülerVZ” (you don’t have to know this :D) or something.
